Verizon Droid Does Commercial
By: Peter Chubb | October 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentA few weeks ago, we learned that Verizon Wireless were getting together with Google to offer the carriers first Android handset. We now know officially that the cell phone is coming thanks to a Verizon Droid Does Commercial during the Yankees-Angels over the weekend.
The commercial does one thing, and that is put the Apple iPhone down. Just watch the video below and you will see. After I watched the video, I was left thinking about all the flaws that the iPhone has, bit of a shame, as it is my main handset.
The commercial was not fancy; it was just simple but delivered the message it needed too. Such as “iDon’t have a real keyboard”, “iDon’t runt simultaneous apps”, “iDon’t take 5-megapixel pictures”. These were just a few, there were many more that just kept pointing out the weaknesses of the iPhone.
Quick PWN does pick up on something though, looking at this commercial, Verizon will not be getting the iPhone any time soon, and not certain if they will bother at all now. The new Verizon Droid looks to be one phone that could challenge the iPhone; we should be in for a great battle in the smartphone market.
