Palm Pre: Coming To Verizon Wireless Early 2010

Towards the end of September we posted an article questioning whether or not the Palm Pre will ever come to Verizon Wireless, at the time of this article we were under the impression that Palm execs were reconsidering offering the handset, however we have no heard some information which contradicts this.

A recent article on Cnet has pointed out that Verizon Wireless’ Twitter page has confirmed that the handset will be available in early 2010, the Tweet read “@lanvuch We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year.”

Obviously although it does sound official enough it is not at all definite, however as we find out information confirming/refuting this we will keep you posted, check out Cnet for their original article.

Will you consider upgrading you Verizon handset to the Palm Pre?

I know of a few people who are anxiously awaiting the Pre’s arrival on Verizon - I already own a Pre and love it.

I’m not so sure the Pre is as hot as it was when it was first released. With all the new Google phones coming out some of the appeal of the Pre has been diminished. Palm has grown their app store but Google, Apple, and Blackberry all already have more apps and more resources. It is nice that Palm has sent out several phone upgrades but the jury is still out on whether the Pre has hung the Moon.
