Xbox 360 New Fall Update: Unauthorized Storage Devices
By: Peter Chubb | October 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere will be a shock for Xbox 360 owners next week when Microsoft offers a system update, unauthorized storage devices will no longer work. Major Nelson advises that if you have any data such as your profile or saved games, then you might want to back it up.
Just make certain that you save this data to an authorized Xbox 360 storage device, if you do not take this advice and stick with your unauthorized Memory Unit once you have downloaded the update, then you will not be able to gain access to that data.
If you have any problems working out what Memory Units are authorized for use on your console, then visit Xbox.com for further information. This certainly has many Xbox 360 gamers angry, and you can understand why.
It is no secret that these unauthorized storage devices are a cheaper option, why would anyone want to pay the ridiculous prices of an authorized unit.
