Mobile Crunch was bombarded with emails in their inbox all with one subject, the Motorola Sholes or Verizon Motorola Droid as most of us now know the handset by. It seems that Motorola have just put the Droid with GSM on the FCC website.
The strange thing is, in the FCC filing Motorola call the handset Sholes but only mention it the once by name. There was something strange about all this though, and that was the fact that the Motorola Sholes had cleared FCC last month in September.
The handset that cleared was on Verizon and was CDMA ready. Mobile Crunch thought that they needed to have closer look at the details. They found that there were also GSM frequencies, the handset that had passed FCC last month was CDMA as we mentioned above.
As with all FCC filings, they are often extensive so for all the details in full head over to the FCC website.
