Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite now Spica: Specs and Photos

The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite has now been given a new name, the Spica. This Android phone is Samsung’s answer to an entry-level version of its i7500, there have been a few of these handset spotted in the world, but these were non-functioning models.
Slash Gear managed to find the Spica in all its glory over at Italian website Cellularmania, where they had a fully working Samsung i5700, allowing you to see that beautiful the 3-inch AMOLED touchscreen handset in action.
The website does not give much away; they offer a few spec details and a huge amount of new photos of an actual working Samsung i5700 Spica Google Android handset. The new device comes with all the usual suspects, Bluetooth, HSPDA and Wi-Fi, sadly the camera has gone on a diet and gone from a 5-megapixel to a 3.2-megapixel.
Other features include a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, GPS and FM radio. Expect to see this latest Android handset in stores early in 2010. To view the photos, visit Cellularmania.
