Palm Pre UK Release Day: Will you buy today?
By: Peter Chubb | October 16, 2009 | 2 CommentsThe Palm Pre has been available in the U.S. on the Sprint carrier for some time now, but the handset that was meant to battle it out with the iPhone has now made it across the pond. The Palm Pre has now been released on O2 UK from today.
The Palm Pre was the first handset to use the new webOS, and the people of Britain will now get to know what all the fuss was about. The Palm Pre is already a great addition to the iPhone, which until recently, O2 had the exclusivity. Orange and Vodafone will now be able to offer its customers the Smartphone from Apple.
The Palm Pre is free on O2, but only if you sign up to a 24-month contract. If you only want an 18-month tariff, then the handset will cost £96.89. O2 is not known for having the best coverage and tariff deals, but there is nothing we can do about that.
The Pre is not going to challenge the iPhone, but if you are on a limited budget, then the handset is the perfect option. For more information, visit www.O2.co.uk
