New HTC Touch2 Released in India
By: Daniel Chubb | October 16, 2009 | 2 CommentsAccording to Techtree.com, the HTC Touch2 has been launched in India, and apparently it doesn’t look like an update of the Touch model, but rather an older brother of the Touch 3G.
The Touch2 comes loaded with Windows Mobile 6.5, and it has 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM and is running the 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU. It has a 2.8” TFT-LCD screen and 3.2 megapixel camera. It also has an internal GPS antenna which is always good for mapping those pictures to a location. Unfortunately the handset only has an 1100mAh battery, so the battery life could be better.
The HTC Touch2 has launched on the Reliance GSM network. Reliance Communications is offering up 6 months of free data usage at 200mb per month, and that is an offer certainly not to be sniffed at. But at Rs. 24,490 ($533), It seems a little pricey for a GSM phone without 3G.
