If you’re claustrophobic, we have your worst fear realised. Immagine being trapped in a small square elevator (just big enough to lay down in) for an hour, sounds bad doesn’t it? Well add another 40 hours on top of that 1 hour, and that’s how long Nicholas White was trapped in car number 30 at the McGraw-Hill Building.
Nicholas White had been working late and gone for a quick smoke, on the way back from his smoke he was taking the elevator back to floor 43, the elevator came to an abrupt stop at floor 13, and stayed there for 41 hours.
You can check out the full video below which was posted on the WIRED website, don’t worry though, the 41 hours is sped up to 3 minutes 20 seconds. Let us know what you think about the ordeal Nicholas went through. You can also check out the original article posted on The New Yorker HERE.
