Dell Android Handset Coming to US: Official Confirmation
By: Jamie Pert | October 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing on from our news posted last week regarding a US release of a Dell handset, we have now had confirmation from Dell’s CEO confirming the speculation.
At the time of last weeks post we weren’t too sure if anything would materialize, however Dell’s CEO Michael Dell has recently stated that they would be releasing an Android based smartphone in the US.
It seems this handset will be released in 2010, other rumors are circulating suggesting Dell may offer handsets with alternative OS’s too, whether this means they may develop their own OS is currently unclear.
Personally I think the more competitive handset manufacturers the better, whether Dell will become competitive is yet to be seen, to find out more about the upcoming US release check out SlashGear.
