It has been rumored that Apple’s upcoming range of new all-in-one iMac systems may miss out on Blu-Ray technology once again, with Apple preferring to stick with Intel chips for the time being to help fill the void.
The news is according to this article from Apple Insider, who have also stated that Blu-Ray drives could of been pulled from the new iMacs last month, just before the machines went into production.
However, it’s not all bad news as the article has also revealed that Apple plans to include the new Core i7 ‘Clarksfield’ quad-core mobile processors in their new iMac lineup, meaning that the systems will be the first ‘consumer-orientated’ macs to feature four processors.
