Xbox 360 Dashboard Update: Sky TV October 27

Microsoft has continued its trend to offer a preview of its new Xbox 360 Dashboard update to their most loyal fans. It is assumed that these Xbox 360 owners will have access to Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm 1080p instant-on streaming add-ons.

Engadget assumes that this early preview is to make certain that there are no bugs in the system, if there is, then Microsoft will have enough time to iron out those problems. Joystiq says that Xbox 360 owners will have to provide console ID as well as the make and model of your router and TV in the hope of receiving an invitation.

The full details of the Xbox Live Update Preview can be found at www.connect.microsoft.com. Microsoft advice that you should not try to sign up if you are not in a region that will not support the new Xbox Live Preview. More information on this can also be found in the link above.

Sky TV will also be coming to Xbox Live; this should be launched sometime in October. As we recently mentioned, you will need to be a subscriber to Sky in order to view premium content.
