Gran Turismo 5: Damageable Scenery and Vehicles -NEW PICTURES-

Over the last fortnight the official Gran Turismo site has been posting up many screenshots of the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5 game which launches in March next year. Today 8 new screenshots arrived, including some images of its damage system which is currently under development.

Of course when it was announced that Gran Turismo 5 would be launching in March next year opposed to the December date that everybody was eagerly expecting, there was a lot of disappointment. But slowly Polyphony Digital is gaining back our respect after the disappointing release date announcement with Gran Turismo’s series producer Kazunori Yamauchi stating that they are doing an entire re-work of the physics for even further improved realism, as well as further improvements to the graphics and damage system. Besides, what’s a few more months on top of how long we have been waiting already?

After careful inspection of the new screens which you can view on the official Gran Turismo site HERE, you will notice that not only are the cars damageable, but also the environment as well. Check out the screen below and take note of the barriers smashing across the track near the Ford and the Citroen.
