Blackberry 9700 (Bold 2): AT&T and T-Mobile Estimated Release

There is not long to wait until RIM make an announcement over the release of its latest handset, the BlackBerry 9700, better known as the Bold 2. AT&T and T-Mobile will be offering up the handset to its customers, Research In Motion is expected to make an announcement on October 21.

Phones Review reports that T-Mobile USA will not release the BlackBerry 9700 to a few weeks after that date, with November 11 being the date most talked about. We mentioned in a recent post that T-Mobile corporate customers have now started to receive invites to a launch event.

T-Mobile has said that they will be announcing the launch of a new handset; many believe this to be the much-anticipate BlackBerry Bold 2. T-Mobile describe the phone as a “Wi-Fi Calling enabled BlackBerry device.” It does not take a genius to work that one out.

RIM is certainly busy at the moment, as they are also in the process in preparing for the launch of the BlackBerry Storm 2, their second touch-screen smartphone.
