Rumor: Nvidia Tegra to power 2010 Nintendo DS
By: Alan Ng | October 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been rumored that the next-generation version of the Nintendo DS handheld will be powered by the ‘seemingly’ popular Nvidia Tegra graphics chip, most recently seen in the Microsoft Zune HD media player.
That’s according to Bright Side of News, who have claimed that Nvidia have ‘won’ the contract to power Nintendo’s next handheld system.
They state that they have been informed by their ‘confidential sources’ and that the device will release towards the end of next year.
It will be interesting to hear if this story is accurate, as Nintendo DS owners will feel that their system is long overdue a graphics makeover. We’ll try and update you on this story when we hear more.
