Apple iPhone: New bootrom to prevent 3GS Jailbreaking
By: Alan Ng | October 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that Apple are preparing to ship all future models of their iPhone 3GS with a new bootrom which will prevent owners from using the 24kpwn exploit for jailbreaking purposes.
According to BGR, a member from the infamous Dev-Team has confirmed that the updated bootrom, which has been dubbed iBoot-359.3.2, will make jailbreaking on the iPhone 3GS ‘impossible’ for the time being.
Looks as if Apple have finally started to take firm action against the underground pirates. It will be interesting to see what the Dev-Team think about this and if they can find a way past Apple’s new stronghold.
