Acer Liquid A1 Android Phone: Officially Announced

Previous rumors suggesting that Acer were planning to release an Android phone have recently been confirmed by Acer, the handset will be called the Acer Liquid A1 and has now been officially announced by Acer, you can see th official announcement here.
It is thought that the handset will come with Google Android 1.6 (Donut) installed, it will run a 1GHz processor, and will have an 800×480 capacitive touchscreen display, the handset will also come with a 5 megapixel camera which has a self-timer, autofocus and supports geo-tagging.
It is thought that one of Acer’s main concentrations will be regarding battery-life, however details have not yet been revealed, the handset itself will be available in black, white and red and will easily integrate with most social networking services.
