How Did Apple Miss Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) Bug?

The news of a major bug in Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) came as a shock to users of the latest software, which was released in August. The bug is getting a huge amount of attention on Apple support forums from angry Mac users; we have to wonder how Apple managed to miss such a bug?

PC World has a number of questions that they would like answering, but the one above is top of that list. Apple recently released a statement saying, “We are aware of the issue, which occurs only in extremely rare cases, and we are working on a fix.”

Looking at a number of these forums, Mac users have admitted to being scared of losing their data or who have already lost their data, which is why you should always backup. In a recent article, we asked, “Has your user data been deleted?

PC World have tried to calm Mac users down by explaining that the bug is not as bad as what people are making out, and that it only affects a small percentage of Mac users. However, that still does not explain why Apple decided to keep quiet on the matter, as the bug was first reported more than a month ago.
