When it comes to vacuum cleaners, you have to admit that the coolest models are those designed by Dyson. They have not just stuck with putting their own spin on vacuum cleaners though; they have the hand dryers in rest rooms and this new Air Multiplier.
Dyson hopes that they will be able to revolutionize air fans with the Dyson Air Multiplier; the difference is that this is a “bladeless fan”. Engadget have been looking at the design to see how it all works, they figured that the blades are stored in the main housing on the bottom of the device.
There are two benefits for this new design the obvious one is the safety aspect, as you will not be able to get your fingers caught on the blades. The other is that you will not have to clean those dusty blades again, something I like the idea of, as it is more hygienic.
There are two downsides to this new design, the first is that it is very noisy, Engadget points out that it is almost as loud as one of their vacuum cleaners. The other is the price, the 10-inch model costs $300 and the 12-inch costs $330. Would you pay that price for a fan?
