Dyson Air Multiplier: How the bladeless fan works

Following on from our earlier post which told you about the new Dyson Air Multiplier, we have found another good article for you to read, which shows you just how the new device works.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, the main function of the air multiplier is to push out a cool breeze using friction in the air. From the bladeless fan, there is a little opening which can release a stream of air at 55mph. It is this stream of air which adds to the friction and as a result, makes the new device work the way it does.

While that process is going on, the air multiplier also uses low pressure to create more air from behind the machine which will be then added to the air stream.

Confused? We hope not. Head over to Pocket-Lint where you’ll be able to read the full report on this. Let us know if you are interested in this nifty gizmo.
