Dell Adamo XPS: Will it replace your Macbook Air?

According to TGDaily, Dell’s Adamo XPS comes in at 9.99mm thick (and we believe this to be at its thickest point). In comparison, Apple’s Macbook Air comes in at just under double that at 19.4mm (at its thickest point).

Dell has yet to state the official specifications for this device, but from the looks of it, it is set to become the Macbook Air’s biggest competition. The Macbook Air weighs in at 1.36kg and it will be great to officially find out how much the Adamo XPS weighs in comparison, but according to Notebooks.com it felt as though it “couldn’t have been more than two pounds”, which means it has managed to get under the 1kilogram mark which is incredible.

Do any of you readers own a Macbook Air? Would you consider upgrading if the price was right and quality up to a decent standard? Do you think that such a small device might come across cooling problems? Let us know here at Product Reviews!

I dont own a Macbook Air but theres two things that would steer me away from the Dell if the specs ARE true.
    1.Mac OS X
2.I like how much the Macbook Air weighs, it feels sturdier than it looks. Something thats under 2 pounds though…

Heck yeah! I agree! i have a feeling the dell XPS will feel somewhat flimsy and it will feel more vonerable to damage! i still love dell though! im using one right now, but i love mac os x i use it everyday at work! Whoo! go technology!

I love how the dell looks but I would be worried about seriously damaging it. Plus wouldn’t want to be running Windows when I could be using a Mac!
