T-Mobile Sidekick: Sales Halted

Following all of the bad press T-Mobile have received regarding the “Sidekick Outage” T-Mobile have now decided to halt sales of all versions of their Sidekick, currently on T-Mobile’s website all models are “Temporarily Out of Stock”.

It is currently thought that Sidekick customers have lost their data forever and it will not be recoverable, it is thought that this issue occurred when a server failure caused issues with the main back-up databases.

If you do have a Sidekick, T-Mobile have asked that you do not reset your device, remove the battery or allow them to run out of battery power as it could result in data loss, how long this will be going for is uncertain.

It is thought that the handsets will stay out of stock until T-Mobile are sure that the issue is no longer on-going, for more information check out Cnet.
