Snow Leopard ‘Guest Bug’: Has your user data been deleted?

October must be the month where user’s data being deleted is perfectly acceptable, after we have just heard news that Snow Leopard users are having their files erased due to a new ‘guest account’ bug.

According to this article from BGR, the problem can occur by users logging in and out of a guest account on Snow Leopard, only to find that when they log back into their regular account, all their data has been wiped.

No word from Apple on the problem yet, but a lot of you have certainly made your feelings clear over on the Apple discussion boards.
