The Samsung Moment was announced a few days ago and was so hard to see the new device close up at CTIA 2009. Thankfully, Phonedog had a chance to get a more detailed and not as rushed hands-on video of the new Samsung handset when they meet back up with Sprint executives, which you can see in the video below.
The Samsung Moment will be released on November 1 on the Sprint network. In the video, the guys over at Sprint explain that the display is phenomenal, thanks to 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, offering you a very vibrant display.
You have the touchscreen as well as the Full QWERTY keyboard; this is hidden until you slide the screen up. This is ideal if you love the new technology of a touch screen but just cannot live without the keys. The device is powered by Google Android, which means that Samsung and Sprint have worked closely to get the integration perfect.
This can be clearly seen with the Google search bar at the top of the screen, Gmail and Gmaps come pre-loaded on the handset. Android Market is also on the handsets homescreen, Google’s answer to Apples App Store.
