When it comes to the Apple iPhone, we know a number of things; one is that users wish for the Smartphone to make its way to Verizon. According to In-Stat, they believe that Verizon has given up on the idea of getting the iPhone, for now anyway.
This will come as a big blow to iPhone users who have been hoping to ditch AT&T for the preferred Verizon network. However, Verizon’s recent decision to adopt Google Android phones is a clear sign that the iPhone is not at the top of its to-do-list now.
Reuters reports that In-Stat believe that AT&T and Apple will announce that they are to extend the exclusive deal over the iPhone. This has not come as a surprise, as we mentioned on a number of occasions that Apple were not happy that Verizon would want to use its VCast Store instead of the preferred App Store.
We are not saying that Verizon will never get the iPhone, but they need to work on a number of things, first they need to give up on the idea of taking the App Store away from the iPhone and they also need to work hard on LTE. This will then allow them to offer a much better service for the next-generation iPhone.
