Google Wave: Review

You may have read our post almost two weeks ago which showed Google Wave in action, at the time of that article the product was in the process of being released to beta testers, now a fortnight on we are beginning to see a few reviews of the “Wave”.

IT Pro have recently been putting Google Wave through its paces and have created a fully detailed four page review, Google currently believe that the Wave can replace email.

The general opinion you get from IT Pro’s review is whilst the “Wave” does offer some useful functionality it isn’t a necessity for all users, it seems that the ideal scenario for it to be used in is for things like product design, where multiple opinions are needed.

Personally I feel that the service will never fully replace email, however if some developments are made it may be a suitable alternative to email for some particular users, I’m sure time will tell.
