Mass Effect 2 Coming to PS3: Rumor
By: Peter Chubb | October 11, 2009 | 1 CommentA rumor has surfaced that Mass Effect 2 could be coming to the Sony PS3, but Bioware has not released an official confirmation of this. The rumor started from Australian major game retailer GAME. The online store is listing Mass Effect 2 for a release on the PlayStation 3.
There have been a number of rumors in recent months of Mass Effect porting over to the PS3, but that is all they have been, just rumors. This latest news could be the first signs of the rumors actually becoming a fact. We will just have to watch this space.
If Bioware actually had plans to launch the game on the Sony games console, then the next few months will be the perfect time to do so, but that is a big ask. The problem is, as there is no official confirmation from the developer, we have no idea how far the PS3 port has progressed.
I may have got a bit carried away with what I was saying above, there is no way that Mass Effect 2 will be released on the PS3 in time for the holiday season. Just Push Start reports that the XBOX 360 and PC versions of the game are not due for release until early 2010.
