RIM is forever trying to make their BlackBerry handsets appealing to more customers, what better way than with a simple color change. Often buyers are put off with a phone for the simple reason of not liking a color so the new White Curve 8520 on T-Mobile and White Bold on AT&T, which we mentioned yesterday will be very welcome.
The White Curve 8520 will now complement the black and “frost” versions of the RIM handset. Engadget picks up on the fact that AT&T launching a White Bold is a strange move, as they are about to launch the new Bold 2.
AT&T do have some experience in selling an older model while also marketing a new model, as they do the same with the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS. It seems that the network carrier wants to offer their consumers a cheaper option, which is what they will do with the Bold and Bold 2.
The newly colored BlackBerry Curve is available now, while the White Bold will be made available on October 18. Would you consider purchasing the White model of these handsets?
