Is the Verizon iPhone nothing but hype?
By: Jamie Pert | October 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentOver the last few months we have been hearing more and more rumors regarding a Verizon Wireless iPhone, however due to still hearing no hard evidence many people are beginning to wonder whether all these rumors are just hype, it seems perhaps even Verizon are becoming frustrated, which may have led to their recent advertisements.
Most of the rumors were sparked due to the amount of disgruntled AT&T customer who were unhappy with the carriers service, especially when compared to the coverage which Verizon Wireless offer.
One issue which makes the switch-over to Verizon harder is the fact that Apple would have to invest a lot of money into the iPhone to make it compatible with CDMA-based networks rather than GSM.
Personally I feel that Apple’s next iPhone release should perhaps not hold exclusivity to AT&T, if they do hold exclusivity with AT&T Apple risk losing customers to competing handsets due to AT&T’s track record, check out examiner.com for more information.
