Unlocked Samsung Galaxy i7500 on Newegg
By: Peter Chubb | October 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe have still to see any network carriers take up the Samsung Galaxy i7500, thankfully Newegg thought that they would make the handset available to customers as an unlocked version. The Android-enhanced handset is now up on their website.
Engadget tell us that the Samsung Galaxy i7500 has GSM and tri-band UMTS, this would allow it to work on most networks, including T-Mobile’s 3G network. The phone should have no hassle gaining GSM access to AT&T as well as T-Mobile, but it comes at a price.
If you wish to get your hands on this unlocked Samsung Galaxy i7500, then you will need to part with $590. There are no details on a shipping date, but at least we know that the phone is coming, so should be in your hands by the holiday season.
The cell phone comes with a 5.0 MP with LED flash & Video Capture, 8 GB storage and 128 MB RAM. The storage can be increased to 16GB thanks to its MicroSD (TF Card). For full details, visit Newegg.
We do know that the phone is available in the UK on the O2 network.
