Spotify: Dedicated phones to release in Sweden and UK
By: Alan Ng | October 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentSome interesting news to report now, as it has been revealed that Spotify are planning to release ‘dedicated’ phone handsets in Europe, with Sweden already confirmed and UK likely to follow.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, Spotify have just secured a two-year deal with Swedish mobile network Telia, which will see Telia assist Spotify in providing computers, mobile phones and TV with the growing music application.
Pocket-Lint states that 1 in 9 of Sweden’s population are Spotify users, according to latest figures released from Spotify.
From a personal point of view, I use Spotify almost on a daily basis so I’m very interested to see how a dedicated Spotify phone would turn out.
