Microsoft Multitouch Mouse: First Video of Prototypes

A few days ago, we spoke of the new Microsoft Mouse concepts. Today we have found a video of a bunch of these concepts, dubbed Mouse 2.0, which will have the same multitouch features as the future Mighty Mouse from Apple will have.

Engadget Japanese is responsible for offering us a video of these concepts in action, some certainly look strange, but so do most prototypes. Microsoft Research have been working closely on these new devices, one of best design wise has to be the Orb as it supports hemispheric touch sensor.

This sensor allows for a number of gestures that will be perfect for gamers. Two other Mouse Prototypes are Arty and FTIR, both do the same thing but they certainly look different. We have to remember that these are all prototypes, but it is great to see some fun added in the video.

We know that Apple are working on a new Mighty Mouse with multitouch capabilities, so it came as no surprise to learn that Microsoft were also working on their own version.

Watch the video by visiting the Engadget Japanese link above.
