Hands-on: Sony VAIO L Touchscreen PC
By: Peter Chubb | October 8, 2009 | 2 CommentsWith Windows 7 just around the corner, computer makers have started to take advantage of the new Microsoft Operating Systems new touch features. One of the latest is the VAIO L Touchscreen PC, Sony’s first touch screen PC.
Sony, always ones to be different are billing the VIAO L as part PC part HDTV, so not only can you do your daily tasks such as working or surfing the net, you can also watch your favorite movies with the built in Blu-ray player. Just remember, all playback will be in Full High Definition.
Engadget managed to get some hands-on time with the new PC; they suggest that it will even come with a built-in TV tuner. The price starts at $1,300, remember you are getting a24-inch multitouch screen PC and a HDTV for that price.
Engadget did have a few problems with the TouchSmart-style software from Sony; we only hope that Sony iron out those problems. Not certain when the release date for the Sony VAIO L Touchscreen PC, as Sony have some hard work to do to get that software running sweet.
