Forza 3 Vs Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: Direct Comparison

You may be sitting there thinking that this comparison is totally irrelevant but here it is anyway. Forza 3 directly compared side by side with Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Yes, Prologue.

The comparison comes from the guys over at GamesWire, who have paired Forza 3 and GT5:P up on the same track (Suzuka) using the same car, same resolution (1280×720) and the same capture equipment.

Gameswire think that Gran Turismo 5: P still looks more polished than Forza 3, with a more natural color palette and better anti-aliasing than Forza 3.

On the other hand, they state that Forza 3 comes out on top in most other areas such as better structures, textures and backgrounds.

    Dude…the lowest review score of forza 3 is 9.2/10 well ofcourse it got 10/10 and 9.5,9.7/10..but gt5p didnt even get anything higher than 7.5/10…its like comparing a hummer to a trailblazer….from the looks of gt5p(which is half of gt5) gt5 wont get above 9/10. Check out the difrenc between gt4p and gt4..only 10 points difrence 70 and 80

    Yeah man,i just saw the scores of forza 3.man the game isnt out and yet the scores are so god damn high.Gt5p has lower scores than gt4.

    Lol the gameswire guys think 1280×720 is actualy 720p :p.I played the demo of f3 and full gt5p on my bravia 42″ with 1920×1080 and f3 demo looked much much better than gt5p.

    Im lolling at you ray..you dont own a ps3,you just have a ps2 and thinking of buying a ps3 when the price comes down because you own a ps2 and you swallowed evrything sony told you good about the ps3…i feel pity for the ps2 fanboys who are stuck with it and cannot afford a ps3 or a xbox 360

    Your comparing a game thats a yr or so old to a new game? seriously are you xbots that freaking dipped in the head? I can’t believe this is even news worthy. What are you brain dead? I dont believe any comparisons online specially on a site that is basically an Xbox fansite. As for us Playstation fans swollow everything sony says look at you MS deep throaters swollowing everything MS shoves down your throat. The 360 is next gen whatever DVD-9 was 5 yrs ago, nothing new about PC programing. Nothing as next gen as an Old Dell case. Oh and not to mention MS and letting sub HD back into gaming so you guys will have great 480 resolution so as usual MS takes the backstep.

    You all know that your comparing an overpriced demo (GT5P) thats a year old to a brand new full game, also if you just own a 360 forza is the best game ever, and if you only own a ps3 GT5 will be the best game ever + gt5p got an 8 something out of 10 from ign and GI.

    It is. Forza was never going to be as good as GT from the start. PD has much more experience than Turn 10. If I were asked if I would buy Forza or GT5, I would be all over GT5 in a second. Forza tries to mix the childish things like unrealistic car upgrading and smashing cars into each other with serious simulation like GT has. GT aproaches in a more logic way, focusing on one genre of racing.

    You are exactly right. We are looking at ratings from a idiotic X-Box fan sight. Theres no logic in that. Sony has been ahead of microsoft. Just like PD has more experience than Turn 10 at racing simulations, Sony has been making video game consoles a while before Microsoft.

    GT5 may have better graphics but it has terrible physics, no damage, and is just a really terrible game. There may be more cars but the majority of them you will never use and the lower level cars have a lower level of detail. Forza has brilliant physics, great detail on all cars the career mode and online are better than GT 5. And why is upgrading a car childish? Do you not think its possible to upgrade cars… Moron.
