It has been reported that Apple’s next iteration of their ‘Mighty Mouse’ hardware device may not use the ‘Mighty’ tag, after accessory makers Man & Machine were ‘officially’ awarded registration of the ‘Mighty Mouse’ trademark.
According to this article from Apple Insider, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office made the trademark registration official this week.
Clifton Broumand, who is the CEO of Man & Machine, is now looking forward to moving on after a lawsuit with Apple, stating: “We look forward to the continuation and expansion of the Mighty Mouse line of waterproof mice.”
Last week, we reported on Apple’s plans to introduce a revised edition of their mouse, which is thought to get rid of their mechanical roller ball, in favor of new multitouch features.
