Microsoft’s boss, Steve Ballmer has been discussing the upcoming release of Windows 7 with Sky News. Ballmer knows that Microsoft are now in the worst position they have been in for years, and he hops that the new operating system will help to revive the company.
We know that Windows 7 is released on October 22 and Steve Ballmer hopes that it will succeed where Vista did not. It was the poor performing Vista that had a huge impact on Microsoft, Windows users switched back to XP in their thousands.
Not a great achievement for Microsoft but early signs looks good for Windows 7. The trouble with Vista was that it demanded too much from the system resources, this resulted in poor performing computers. Windows 7 is the first operating system to ask less from system resources, in turn helping to keep your system running faster and smoother.
