It seems that the $100 netbook price may have finally been conquered by a Taiwanese computer maker called DMP, they have created a netbook which they are calling the Edubook, the Edubook is said to have a price tag of $100.
We do not currently have a full hardware breakdown for the Edubook, however we do know it is capable of running Windows XP (however this is an optional extra), the netbook has a 8.9 inch display and a low-power processor, the netbook is powered via eight AA batteries, this should power the device for up to four hours.
It is thought that the netbook is currently shipping, however it is thought that the netbook will be being shipped in component form, it apparently takes 10 minutes to assemble by carrying out 30 steps, find out more on SlashGear.
Would you buy the $100 netbook?
