Sony Motion Controller: Also known as ‘Sphere’?

We have some interesting news now for PS3 owners out there, as it has been rumored that the upcoming PS3 Sony ‘Motion Controller’ actually has a codename, the ”Sphere”.

That’s according to this report from Joystiq, who have stated that Sega have used the Sphere tag when Sega developer Yasuhito Baba was talking at the recent TGS event.

Joystiq have already pressed Sony reps for comment on this, but they have stated that Sony were ‘unfamiliar’ with the ‘Sphere’ tag.
