Hands-on Video of the HTC HD2 Running Windows Mobile 6.5
By: Jamie Pert | October 6, 2009 | Leave a CommentA four minute hands-on video of the upcoming HTC HD2 has recently been posted on SlashGear along with a wide range of photos of the handset too, you can see SlashGear’s article here, or scroll to the bottom of this post to see the hands-on video.
The HD2 is regarded by many as the successor to HTC’s Touch HD, it features a massive 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display, due to the small bezel used to frame the huge display the handset doesn’t feel quite as big as the display makes you think it will be.
The handset runs Windows Mobile 6.5, however like the HTC Hero it uses HTC’s Sense UI, inside the handset is a 1GHz SnapDragon processor, this processor ensures all visual effects running extremely smoothly, especially whilst using multi-touch gestures whilst web browsing.
Other hardware worth mentioning includes a 5 megapixel camera which has a dual-LED flash and auto-focus, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB connector, the battery is said to last four days, however this will probably be very dependent on how much you use the handset.
As for release dates, carrier details and pricing nothing seems to have been finalized yet, however we do suspect that the handset will be available sometime later this month in Europe, however US citizens may have to wait until the first quarter of 2010.
As we find out more precise information we will keep you posted, in the mean time check out SlashGear’s fully detailed article here, you can see full phone specs here and here, and see the first hands-on video below.
