With the imminent launch of Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS, we are seeing a number of new portable computer devices popping up in the wild. The latest offering is the Gateway EC18T Tablet PC, complete with the Windows 7 operating system. Engadget have managed to get hold of a range of photos as well as spec details of the new system.
The Gateway EC18T comes with an 11.6-inch swivel screen and is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. To keep all you programs running smoothly you will have the choice of up to 4GB DDR3 SDRAM. Graphics comes in the form of a Mobile Intel GS45 Express graphics chipset.
The tablet PC will run on either Windows 7 Home Premium or Basic, something that would not have happened with Vista. Gateway has not released any official information yet, so we do not know when the tablet will be released and what its price will be. With October 22 being the release date of Windows 7, we are sure the EC18T will follow soon after that.
