The upcoming RIM BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 is not getting as much media coverage as the original storm, which is a shame as it looks to be a far better handset. There have been a number of photos and videos on the new Research In Motion handset, the latest being a preview from Phone Arena as well as an update on that 5.0 software.
Phones Review learned from Phone Arena that the BlackBerry Storm 2 is likely to come with the 5.0 firmware already installed. In the preview, it mentions that there is nothing groundbreaking on the 9550, but the threaded text messages could prove popular.
The handset that Phone Arena had to preview was a pre-production BlackBerry Storm 2; there was a cause for concern while watching the video preview, as the handset restarted itself on a number of occasions. Generally, the handset looks great and more responsive than its predecessor.
In a recent post, we learned that Best Buy and Verizon have reveled the price on the new BlackBerry Storm 2.
