Security Essentials Review Round Up

In our recent post, we informed our readers that Microsoft’s Security Essentials free software download was ready for download on September 29. Now that we have all had time with the new antivirus software, we thought we would see what the early reviews think of Essentials Review.

The first review comes from Sitepoint, in their final thoughts of the review, they say that Microsoft Security Essentials is all that an “anti-virus package should be.” The software is easy and simple to use and will not hog your system resources. The only downside is that it does not come packed with as many features as some of the other Anti-Virus software.

The most extensive review that we found was from Supersite, this two-page review covers all that we need to know about the new software. Their final thoughts reveal that Microsoft Security Essentials looks to be a hit with users. There are three reasons for this, “free, effective and lightweight.”
