Motorola Droid (Sholes, Tao): Possible release date leaked

We have picked up some interesting info regarding the Motorola Droid (Or Sholes, or yet still the Tao) and its expected release date. A image leak from a supposed Verizon Wireless calendar has a date penciled in for the Android-powered phone.

Head over to to BGR here to see the image. It states that the Motorola Droid is due for public release on October 30th. Whether this is legit or not remains to be seen, but BGR do point out that the calender also lists the correct release date for the upcoming HTC Imagio.

Let us know your thoughts on this. Are any of you thinking of picking up the Motorola Droid?

I have been waiting for this phone to release for 6 months. If these reports are true, it is way better then Dec. 1st. Lets go Moto!!

If you look at that report, it looks like the marketing campaign begins on October 30th - look at the color key at the top of the document.

Previous rumors have stated that the Moto Sholes/Tao/Droid will go on sale December 1st.

Nov. 15 is what I was told by a vzw manager.

If you go to droiddoes.com, there is a countdown at the bottom of the screen that is counting down to Oct. 30th. If that is the release date for the phone or not… who knows.
