Forza 3: Better features than Gran Turismo 5 - Turn 10

The war of words between these two giant titles was bound to happen eventually, and it just so happens that a developer at Forza 3’s Turn 10 studios has started the debate, saying that Forza 3 beats Gran Turismo 5 on a lot of features.

That’s according to this article from GamesThirst, who have quoted Forza 3 product manager Amritz Lay in a recent interview with EurogamerTV.

When asked a direct question on how Forza 3 compares with the PS3’s Gran Turismo 5, he said that ”I believe we beat them on a lot of the features”, giving examples such as the game’s 400 ‘fully built’ cars and ”user generated content”.

It’s quite interesting that he chose to answer such a bold question so confidently, then again he is entitled to his opinion. Let us know your thoughts on his comments.

Load of crap, but to be expected, Forza is good always has been, but both will sell well without the BS. GT5 is the better simmulator, but both games are fun, killzone has lots of cars etc, graphics as well are better, dunno about the damage just yet though lol…

I ment GT5 lol got, what on earth made me say killzone lol

Of course he’s going to say its better, he works for T10… He’s hardly likely to say “Actually, Forza 3 is complete crap, buy GT5 kids!” is he?

Anyway, both titles will be great. Forza 3 has better gameplay, online, community. GT5 has graphics.

It’s funny, you know. This ‘war of words’ as you call it, is literally started, and continued by Turn 10 alone. PD has never said anything derogatory or inflammatory about Turn 10, or it’s IP. Wonder why they always feel the need to make such boasts… Maybe it’s because they’ve never even played the game, and have absolutely no idea what the full GT5 will look like. Or it could be insecurity, I mean, let’s face it, Forza 1+2 put together haven’t even sold as much as 1 full iteration of GT.

Regardless, Polyphony Digital never have to run their mouths about other developers, and I respect that about them. They’re busy working on their own IP, and let the games themselves do the talking.

Btw, last I checked 950+ cars, is better than 400. And from what I’ve seen the 950+ cars look every bit as good, if not better than the 400 in Forza 3.

@ matt of corse your entitled to your opinion but tell men how it is possible for you to express that oppinion on GT5 vs Forza 3 when you have never played GT5, I mean really bud do you have magical powers that enable you to play video games in the future and come back with your opinion?

  6. Sheldon says:

Yeah They Just Turned 10 lol

They can run their mouths all they want, but it ain’t gonna change the fact that GT is still the most respected sim out there used by professional and the series has sold more than 50 million units.. Frankly speaking, the feature list of GT5 annihilates Forza 3….

    GT5-1080P Forza-720P max
    GT5-1000 cars Forza-400
    GT5-16 cars on track Forza-8
GT5-Dynamic Whether and day and night Forza-No
    GT5- Nascar, Rally,WRC patents… Forza-No
GT series- 50 million games sold Forza- Got out sold by GT5 Demo.
PD-Has built their own car in real life. T10- No

The guys at PD are professionals and the Japanese culture prohibits them from speaking ill about other people, be it your enemy…. It’s a lot different from people who just ‘Turned 10′…… Lets see what they say when GT5 comes out..
