Flash Player 10.1 for iPhone: Apple Says No

We have learned from PC World that Adobe have now unveiled Flash Player 10.1 for use on all smartphones, well all expect the Apple iPhone. It does seem strange that all devices such as smartphones, laptops, netbooks, desktops and PCs all benefit from the software expect the biggest selling Smartphone.

So why has Apple said no yet again to Flash and inhibit the use of the player to run on its iPhone, Cnet Asia thought that they would take a closer look to understand Apple’s reasoning. There is one simple answer to that question, Apple are protecting its business interest.

Cnet Asia explains that if Apple allowed Flash support on the iPhone, then they might as well say goodbye to its App Store and iTunes. This is because Flash in no longer just an animation player, the software is now a multimedia platform, which can run a host of application as well.

If Apple did change its mind and allow Flash to run on its iPhone, then developers will be able to code their application, thus allowing a webpage to run an application instead of having to download it from iTunes or the App Store.

Are we still botherd about the iPhone Running Flash?
