Apple to start legal action against Woolworths logo
By: Alan Ng | October 5, 2009 | 1 CommentIt has been revealed that Apple are due to start legal proceedings against Australian supermarket chain Woolworths, claiming that their latest logo design is ‘too similar’ to the famous Apple logo.
As reported from Apple Insider, Woolworths said back in 2008 that they were planning to revamp their design, and the image you can see above is the new look.
Sure it looks ‘a bit’ like Apple’s iconic design, but considering that they are a supermarket chain, is this really necessary? Well, the obvious question is ‘yes’ as you are probably well aware that Apple defends cases like this right down to the bone.
Let us know your thoughts on this story. Do you think Apple are being incredibly harsh on Woolworths?
