Two of the biggest retailers in the US have confirmed that they will be holding special midnight launch events for the release of Modern Warfare 2 on November 10th. You knew this was coming didn’t you?

As reported from JoystickRadio, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to head down to your nearest GameStop or EB Games stores to pick up your copy straight from launch.

We expect to see huge queues for this one. I can’t recall being hyped up for a game this much since, well, forever. Modern Warfare 2 is shaping up to be one of those games that just might just better the original.

Are you planning to pick this up at midnight? Theres gotta be quite a few of you surely?

I took that monday and tuesday off from work and my son will miss school tuesday because we will be attending a midnight release and playing ’til dawn. I did the same for Halo 3 and we had a blast. We got the day ( monday, day of midnight release) all planned out. We are going to do it bigger than we did for Halo.
