Google Chrome OS November Release: Is it too early

Back in July, Google announced that they were to move into the operating system business by launching Google Chrome OS. The search engine giant hinted that consumers would get to use Chrome OS some time in 2010, but we have heard rumors that this could now be as early as next month.

PC World explains that these claims came from Shanzi.com, they state that Chinese hardware manufacturer Lemote could start to ship their budget netbooks with Google Chrome OS pre-installed. It would certainly make sense to mass market the new operating system in China first.

Chinese manufacturers are not afraid to try out untested technology first but western manufacturers always seem more cautious. They much prefer to undergo rigorous testing first. These are just the latest round of rumors surrounding Google Chrome OS, so we are not certain how much truth there is in this one.

Do you think that November is too early to launch Google Chrome OS?
