ASUS SABERTOOTH 55i: First TUF Motherboard

ASUS have recently unveiled their first motherboard which is part of their “TUF” series, TUF stands for The Ultimate Force, the first of the TUF series is called the SABERTOOTH 55i, it is thought that all of the TUF series motherboards are put through extremely extensive tests, and are designed to operate under the “harshest conditions”.
The SABERTOOTH 55i has a LGA1156 socket which supports Intel Corei5 and i7 processors, it features Intel’s P55 Express chipset, the motherboard has 4 DIMM slots, in total the motherboard can accept up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM.
The motherboard also has 2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16 slots, 3 PCI Express 2.0 x1 and 2 standard PCI slots, the motherboard also supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 and has 6 SATA ports, there is also 1 UDMA 1333 PATA connection.

The ASUS SABERTOOTH 55i is available now from authorized ASUS resellers, current the motherboard has an MSRP of $219.
