Netflix Acquiring Content License: DVD is in decline

Currently Netflix make money by mailing out DVD’S to its customers, the company is still said to be doing very well despite the fact that sales have slightly decreased when compared to last years, however many believe that the DVD rentals will rapidly decline.

It seems that Netflix have noticed this too and are now beginning to work on online movie distribution, Netflix is currently in the process of acquiring content licenses to allow them to move forward in the future.

Currently Netflix rent half a billion movies a year, however many predict this to fall over the next 5 years, perhaps the steps taken may be a good decision for the business, only time will tell, check out SoftSailor for more information.
