
Toyota and Lexus Recall: Analysts Talks Company Damage
By: Jamie Pert | September 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentAs you may have read yesterday Toyota announced that they would have to recall up to 3.8 million cars, this recall is said to be the biggest domestic recall ever, the reason for this recall is pretty serious as carpets used in the cars foot-well may cause accelerators to stick.
The problem itself is easily resolved, however given the struggle during the credit crunch any extra expenses are hard for the company to deal with, that said it is not likely to cause the company to be killed off, Toyota are forecasting a $5 billion loss this year following a $4.9 billion loss the previous year
The recall affects a large number of Toyota vehicles which include certain versions of the Toyota Camry, the Toyota Avalon, the Toyota Prius, the Tacoma, theToyota Tundra, the Lexus ES350 and the Lexus IS250 and IS350, check out BusinessPundit for more information, which includes a full list of affected models.
